About Ego Friendly & Effie
Ego Friendly is a self-reflection and emotional awareness application.
Effie is an AI-powered companion designed to support reflection, presence, and self-
awareness.
Effie is not a medical, psychological, or therapeutic service.
No Medical or Professional Advice
The App and Effie:
- are not medical tools
- do not provide diagnoses
- do not treat or cure any condition
- do not replace professional medical, psychological, or therapeutic care
All insights and responses provided by Effie are reflective and supportive, not clinical.
If you are experiencing medical or mental health concerns, you should seek help from a
qualified professional.
User Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the App.
By using the App, you confirm that you are legally able to enter into this agreement.
Account & Access
To use the App, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials all activity that occurs under your account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Subscriptions & Payments
Some features of the App require a paid subscription.
Payments are processed securely by third-party providers, including Stripe, Apple App
Store, or Google Play.
We do not store or process payment card details.
Subscriptions:
- are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly)
- renew automatically unless cancelled
- can be cancelled at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period
Refunds are handled according to the policies of the payment provider used.
Data & Privacy
Effie works only with the information you consciously choose to share inside the App.
Effie can access only the data you enter or generate in the App, including:
- Daily Check-Up answers
- Emotional Memories (Emka)
- messages and reflections
- basic emotional trends based solely on your own entries
Effie does not have access to:
- contacts, photos, microphone, or camera
- device sensors or background data
- location data
- data outside the App
- medical or health records unless manually entered by you
My Notes are 100% private and are never read, analyzed, or used by Effie in any way.
Your data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Circle Friends (Community Features)
The App may include community features such as Circle Friends.
By using Circle Friends, you agree not to post or share content that:
- is abusive, harassing, hateful, or threatening
- is discriminatory or promotes harm
- is misleading, fraudulent, or deceptive
- is sexually explicit or illegal
- infringes intellectual property rights
- violates the privacy or rights of others
Moderation & Enforcement
We reserve the right to:
- review, moderate, or remove user-generated content
- restrict or suspend access to Circle Friends
- terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law
These actions may be taken without prior notice.
You acknowledge that:
- community content reflects users’ views, not ours
- we are not responsible for user-generated content
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- misuse or interfere with the App
- attempt to reverse engineer or exploit the service
- use the App for unlawful purposes
- impersonate others or provide false information
- use the App in a way that may harm yourself or others
Intellectual Property
All content, branding, designs, and software related to Ego Friendly and Effie are owned by
or licensed to us.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works without prior written
permission.
Availability & Changes
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the App at any time.
We are not liable for interruptions, errors, or temporary unavailability of the service.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ego Friendly shall not be liable for:
- emotional distress
- loss of data
- indirect or consequential damages
- decisions made based on content generated by the App
- use of the App is at your own discretion and responsibility
Termination
You may stop using the App at any time.
We may suspend or terminate access if:
- these terms are violated
- required by law
- necessary to protect users or the service
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland and the European Union, without regard
to conflict-of-law principles.

5. My Notes – Full Privacy
The feature “My Notes” is fully private.
- My Notes are not read, analysed, processed, or accessed by Effie
- My Notes are not used for analytics, AI processing, or insights
- Only the user can view or manage My Notes
6. How We Use Your Data
We use your data only to:
- provide and operate the App
- enable Effie’s reflective responses based on your own inputs
- maintain your account and subscription status
- improve app functionality and stability
- ensure safety and prevent misuse
- comply with legal obligations
We do not sell or rent your personal data.
